Why I Go To A Clinic Of Dentists In Toronto

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

I met my husband when he was working in dental supply sales and I was a dental hygienist for a clinic of dentists in Toronto. He grew tired of sales work and I decided to leave my job just before we had our first child. I may go back to doing dental hygienist work once all the kids are in school, but I’ll probably only do it part-time. All of us go to this clinic for our dental care because I know how excellent the dentists, hygienists and dental assistants are there.

One thing I really liked about working for this clinic of dentists in Toronto is they view hygienists as part of the leadership team rather than as just employees. Dental hygienists have largely taken on some of the basic work that dentists used to do; they probably do most of the teeth cleaning and polishing nowadays. This allows dentists to accept more patients and for everyone to get prompt, effective and thorough dental care. The clinic pays for continuing education for the hygienists, which is important for them to learn new skills. Those are some reasons I like to go to this dental practice and to take our children there too.

Need Intensive Dental Treatment? What To Ask Your Dentist In Mississauga

Monday, July 16th, 2012

When your Mississauga dentist recommends a specific treatment, it is important that you ask your dentist in Markham questions. It will be easier for you to make an educated decision about getting a treatment from your dentist when you know as much as you can about the treatment and what to expect from it. The treatment could be anything from root canals to getting dental implants.

You should ask your dentist in Mississauga how invasive the treatment is. You will want to know what kind of pain is involved during the treatment and what to expect after the treatment is completed. You will need to know how long the recovery period will be so you will know if you will need to miss any days of work. You should ask the dentist if there will be any follow-up visits and how many. You don’t want to be surprised with weekly follow-up visits, especially if you are paying out of your pocket for the treatment. You should also ask if the treatment will need to be redone at any time in the future. Some procedures and treatments only last several years. The answer could be a deciding factor for you to reach a decision.
