Suck It Up with Central Vacuums
One thing that I have learned since having a kid is that it is very important to have a good vacuum. My wife and I used to vacuum our apartment about once a week because our floors stayed relatively clean. However, now that we have a sixteen month old running around all day long, our floors don’t stay clean very often. In fact, we find ourselves vacuuming up the front room and the kitchen nearly every day.
Vacuuming is a very important part of keeping your home clean. Most people just go with a traditional vacuum. However, I found out about a really cool vacuum option not too long ago. I was at a relative’s new home and they had a central vacuum system in their home. Central vacuums are really cool. They generally have a hookup in each room of the home that you can just stick a hose into in order to vacuum in that room. Central vacuums work great if you frequently need to vacuum the whole house. They also work great if you happen to have a work area, such as a garage, that gets dirty with sawdust or other stuff like that. I want one in my home someday.
