TV Hearing Aids can Independently Control Volume
Tuesday, January 31st, 2012I used to work alongside heavy, loud machinery every day. I am now retired and am getting used to life without having to work. I have a hard time admitting this to people, but my hearing just isn’t what it use to be. Even though I would wear ear plugs, I think the loud machinery really took its toll on my ears. I have a really hard time hearing the television. This was driving my wife crazy because, in order to hear the actors dialouge, I would turn the volume up full blast. It could so bad that she wouldn’t even watch television with me anymore.
Even with my hearing aid, I have a hard time hearing anything on the television. My doctor recommended that I look at TV hearing aids. He said that TV hearing aids have helped thousands of people in situations just like mine. So I got a television hearing aid. I wear a headset that allows me to independently control the volume of the television. Now that I use the TV hearing aid, I can hear everything the actors on television are saying. My wife will watch TV with me again because she can have the TV set to a more normal volume.
