I used to work alongside heavy, loud machinery every day. I am now retired and am getting used to life without having to work. I have a hard time admitting this to people, but my hearing just isn’t what it use to be. Even though I would wear ear plugs, I think the loud machinery really took its toll on my ears. I have a really hard time hearing the television. This was driving my wife crazy because, in order to hear the actors dialouge, I would turn the volume up full blast. It could so bad that she wouldn’t even watch television with me anymore.

We just suffered a terrible wind storm in Atlanta. I have a large tree growing in my front yard and some of the branches broke off in the wind storm. It’s always great to be around people you admire and respect. It’s especially great when you are working with or for people that strive for excellence. A good example is essentially the same as a guiding light, and it’s nice to have people around that make you want to be your best. When I was going to college I wanted to be a lawyer, and I started working for a lawyer that I really admired. I tried to emulate him in a variety of ways because of the great example he was. I am planning a trip for South America that will take place in a few months. I am very excited because I have always wanted to go on Inca trail tours.
